Q:  What is BICSI? A: BICSI is a non profit professional association serving the telecommunications premise wiring industry.  BICSI sets standards for the industry to protect consumers and establish best practices for all manufacturers and contractors in the structured network cabling business. The LINX Story:  LINX is a corporate BICSI member, and full-time LINX network infrastructure technician’s are BICSI certified (having passed a week long training courses with tests).  This level of certification is a rarity in our business.  What this means to our customers:  A Quality Installation!  Our  clients can rest assured that LINX has the most up-to-date knowledge on the best installation practices in the business.  No matter how “good” the cabling product is, if the product is not installed properly, the transmission fundamentals of the wiring can be negatively affected.  Our commitment to BICSI training safeguards our clients’ investment.

Q: What is RCDD? A: RCDD stand’s for Registered Communications Distribution Designer.  In short, an RCDD is a person who has passed a rigorous BICSI sponsored test ensuring that all RCDDs can effectively design the cabling portion of a Local Area Network.  RCDDs are considered to be the “experts” in the structured cabling industry.   The LINX Story:  RCDD is the most prestigious certification in our industry.  LINX has 5 RCDDs on-staff to serve the local Colorado market - this is an incredibly high number considering how many local contractors have one RCDD on staff at most.  The “top” contractors in the nation have RCDDs, but often times they are not local.  What it means to our customers:  Expertise!  LINX has the ability to design the cabling infrastructure - potentially saving our clients a substantial amount of money through our  intelligent design.  For the client, there is also peace of mind in knowing that LINX is a professional and experienced firm that can provide expert service, and technical knowledge.
